Drink From The Fountain Of Youth…

The number one way to improve your health, reduce pain, rejuvenate your skin, lose weight, improve muscle mass, increase your energy, enhance your reproductive organs and enhance your appearance is to drink more fluoride-filtered water. By water, I mean the clear fluid that runs from your faucet. Juice, tea and other beverages do not qualify. Most people find it challenging to drink water consistently; therefore, I will offer recommendations to help you achieve greater vitality.

I am sure that most of you have heard the standard “drink, at least, eight eight-ounce glasses (2 liters) of water” theory.  This is a great start and it should be done first thing in the morning, to help your body clear the remnants from your overnight fast. Your body is like a self-cleaning oven while you sleep and it’s important that your “break-fast” be water.

The easiest way for me to accomplish this is to fill up a bottle that’s a minimum 32 ounces and down it as quickly as possible. Initially, you may feel like a coffee pot. However, with consistency, your body will adjust and you will spend less time in the restroom. Buy stainless steel bottles to avoid BPA toxins.

Eventually, you will want to increase your water intake. I drink 3-4 liters per day, first thing in the morning.  I have also defied theories that drinking too much water is dangerous for the body by drinking two gallons in one day. I wait one hour in between eating and drinking fluids to allow my body to absorb the fluids and to avoid fermentation of food in my stomach. Dr. Batmanhelidj, MD, author of “Your Body’s Many Cries For Water,” recommends that we drink at least half our body weight in ounces. He argues that pain, stress, sleeping disorders and many diseases are caused by dehydration.

I agree that the average human is dehydrated and would look and feel much better by drinking more water. However, based on Arnold Ehret’s observations, water is only one contributing factor of disease. According to Dr. Batmanhelidj, our body is 75% water and we need to replenish it daily to accomplish normal body functions.

As reported on mayoclinic.com, we lose water by breathing, sweating, urinating, etc. USGS Water Science School reports, “…. the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, and even the bones are watery: 31%. Water helps digest our food so it can provide us with energy, it helps to transport waste out of the body, and it is important in controlling body temperature.”

Dr. Batmanhelidj’s recommended water intake applied before the increase of solar flares affecting our planet and our bodies. As per Heather Carlini of The Carlini Institute, “The nervous system is revved up from the solar flares and as a result many people are feeling anxious.  The stomach is affected so there can be feelings of nausea, stomach aches, indigestion, loss of appetite, or the opposite — wanting to eat incessantly. The heart is affected and many are feeling heart palpitations and irregular heartbeats.  The biggest problem that is alarming people is the heat sensations felt in the body.”

She continues, “The body is working extra hard to assimilate these new energies, and in so doing, it requires extra water in order for the body to energetically digest these new energies.  It is very important that you drink extra water at this time so the body doesn’t become dehydrated.  Coffee and other caffeinated drinks along with sugar have a dehydrating effect on the body. Coffee and MSG in food also rev up the nervous system.”

Water assists weigh loss efforts in a few ways. It usually replaces calories from other fluids like soda and alcohol. Your bowels move faster; reducing the clogging of your system. Your appetite decreases because your stomach feels full. Additionally, with a spike in energy, you are most likely to become more active.

Those individuals seeking weight loss should always have a bottle handy to drink water and dispel cravings. Keep in mind that your craving is just a thought. You will quickly learn to change your thoughts, if you maintain your focus. Avoid criticizing your weaknesses and keep trying. Take baby steps and give yourself small rewards for every monthly accomplishment.

Anyone looking to gain mass or lose fat should understand the role played by water for bodybuilders. Muscle is comprised of 72% water by weight.  If you are not getting the right amount of water every day, your body will not be able to metabolize fat and digest food as effectively as it would if it were fully hydrated. “Water is necessary for every metabolic process including protein synthesis.” – Bodybuilding.com. Protein synthesis is the process in which  cells generate new proteins.

I recommend a fluoride water filter for several reasons:

1. Toxic Fluoride causes illnesses like arthritis, brain impairment, reproductive issues, thyroid damage, bone fractures and dental flourosis.

2. Bottled water leaves a high carbon footprint and is not fluoride filtered.

3. Purified water contains chemical additives.  

4. You can save more money by purchasing a filter and replacing the filters annually. I use a triple fluoride filter which reduces a long list of items including, arsenic, lead, insecticides, pesticides and industrial solvents.

5. Water should be consumed fresh. The longer the water sits, the more fungus and other bacteria grow.

6. Filtered water tastes better.

If you experience stomach discomfort from drinking the suggested amount of water, then you are most likely severely constipated. Consider reducing your food intake, especially in the evening. If the taste of plain water bores you, add a squirt of fresh lime juice. Lime juice helps to increase the alkalinity in your body, break up the mucus in your system and aid digestion.
