The foreskin serves as a natural protective covering on the male anatomy. The removal of the foreskin causes permanent neurological and psychological damage. Most doctors say that it’s not medically necessary. So why remove a normal functioning part of the male anatomy? Before you put your newborn through this excruciatingly painful and traumatic procedure, I encourage you to explore the facts and videos listed below.

Circumcision originally became introduced in this country as a Jewish tradition. It became a routine procedure in the US, during the post Civil War/Victorian Era, to discourage masturbation and prostitution. Today, circumcision rates are declining in the US as well as Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.

“About one-third of males worldwide are circumcised.[1][16] The procedure is most prevalent in the Muslim world and Israel (where it is near-universal), the United States and parts of Southeast Asia and Africa; it is relatively rare in Europe, Latin America, parts of Southern Africa and most of Asia.[1]– Wikipedia

I initally became alarmed by infant circumcision while watching, Orthodox Jew Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon’s documentary, “Cut: Slicing Through the Myths of Circumcision  Later, I learned about the permanent neurological damage, caused by circumcision, from a video interview of Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon, which you may view below.  I also found a report, published by Bond University, describing the psychological trauma,

“Prescott (1989) referred to the stress hormones triggered by intense pain and the adverse affects they may exert on brain development, sexual function and behavior. Anand and Scalvo (2000) postulated that severe pain during infancy may permanently and irreversibly alter neurological circuitry responsible for pain perception and memory.” Gregory J. Boyle, Ronald Goldman, J. Steven Svoboda, Ephrem Fernandez – “Male Circumcision: Pain Trauma and Psychosexual Sequelae”
