Advertising has caused many people to pop a pill, whenever they feel discomfort. The pill only temporarily stops the pain, while disguising the real issue weakening the body. There are different origins of non-injury pain. The purpose of this brief post is to empower you with the ability to identify the cause and solution of your pain.

The convenience of medication has disconnected many people from the real issues affecting their bodies. A seemly minor issue has the potential for major complications within a short time-frame.  Modern medicine fails to look at the body as a whole unit and, when medication fails, some form of operation is usually recommended. If you are someone who has absolutely no interest in changing your habits, this is most likely your fate.

Our body consists of a system of tubes and valves in which blood should flow freely. In fact, according to Arnold Ehret, the blood-fluid is constantly kept moving by the air-gas pump of the lungs and regulated by the heart as a valve. Our complicated  engine like system functions best with air and limited friction or what Ehret calls, “obstruction”.  Friction occurs, through eating, when the traditional cooked meat, dairy and starch diet is not fully digested. “The average person has as much as ten pounds of uneliminated feces in the bowels continually poisoning the blood stream and the entire system.” This causes the tubes and valves to become clogged (friction).

Pain occurs at the congested point in which the blood is unable to flow freely. In addition, acid from certain foods burns the nerves. Dairy products like milk, cheese, butter and eggs create lactic acid. Grains and starches like, flour, rice and root vegetables contribute carbonic acid. Uric acid forms in the body from the consumption of flesh, especially meat, and nuts. Joint pain ( ie, arthritis, carpal tunnel, tendonitis, rheumatism, and gout) is a perfect is example of the accumulation of uric acid  and mucus in the joints. Acid is also produced by chemicals ( ie, pharmaceuticals and vitamins, etc.)

With this info in mind, test your body. Instead of taking a pill, the next time you feel pain, drink a glass of water. Breathe through the pain with long deep breaths. Think of what you have eaten that may have caused your pain. More importantly, pay attention to the areas in which your body is congested. Refrain from eating acid foods until the pain goes away.

Consider natural ways to unclog your body (ie, herbal laxatives, fruit, salad, water).  Use moderation. Ehret warns, “If you eat too much of the best foods, especially in a body full of wastes and poisons, it is impossible for them to enter into your blood stream in a clean state and become “efficiency-giving” vital substances. They are mixed with and poisoned by mucus and auto-toxemias and actually lower vitality- they increase- [obstruction]”

Empower yourself with a deeper understanding of your amazing self-healing system. This journey takes time and patience. However the rewards are so much greater than you will ever experience from medication.
