This fat and dairy free meal could easily replace cereal for you or your children. It is so delicious, nutritious and filling! Remember, fruit is nature’s fast food.
Ingredients: (1 Serving)
Strawberries (6 Large)
Frozen Bananas (2 Very Ripe)
Ground Vanilla Bean (sprinkle)
For optimal digestion, wait for bananas to become very ripe before refrigerating or freezing. Once you see brown specs on your bananas, you will know that they are ripening. I usually wait until most of the banana is brown. The next step is to remove the skins and freeze them. Many people put them in plastic bags but I use a container.
1. Add in this order: strawberries, bananas, dates and ground vanilla bean to Vita Mix or high-powered blender.
2. Blend beginning at a low speed and increase slowly to allow the strawberries and bananas to create enough liquid to blend the dates.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Take your time eating with a spoon. You may want to gulp it because it is so creamy and tastes so good. However, it is very rich and cold. Give your body time to warm each spoonful.
